This Privacy Policy explains how ResearchedPep collects, uses, stores, and protects information for account-gated research-material access.
For laboratory research use only
These products are for lab work. They are not for people, animals, food, drugs, cosmetics, or anything you put on or in the body.
Information we collect
We collect account identifiers, name, email, phone number, organization or account type, address, certification acknowledgements, notification preferences, order records, shipping details, support messages, device data, session data, and compliance-review outcomes. We do not intentionally collect payment card numbers in the ResearchedPep application.
How we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts, verify eligibility, gate catalog access, process orders, conduct compliance review, support shipping and refunds, provide lab report access, communicate order updates, respond to support requests, detect misuse, prevent fraud, maintain records, and comply with legal obligations.
Certifications and audit records
Research-use certifications, acceptance timestamps, checkout acknowledgements, order decisions, and account-review actions may be retained as compliance records. These records help demonstrate that catalog access and orders were limited to certified research-use-only accounts.
Cookies and sessions
We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain signed sessions, preserve security settings, remember interface preferences, support account access, and protect the site from misuse. Disabling cookies may prevent authenticated features from working.
Service providers
We may share information with service providers that support authentication, hosting, database storage, email delivery, payment processing, fraud review, shipping, analytics, monitoring, customer support, and legal compliance. Providers are expected to process information only for authorized business purposes.
Payment data
Live card payments are processed by an underwritten payment processor; ResearchedPep does not store full payment card numbers, card security codes, or sensitive payment authentication data on its own servers. Customers who select a peer-to-peer rail (Zelle, Venmo, or CashApp) send payment directly to ResearchedPep using the handles disclosed in the order confirmation email. ResearchedPep stores the customer's selected payment rail on the order record and an admin notation confirming receipt; the peer-to-peer transaction itself is processed by the platform the customer used.
Legal and safety disclosures
We may disclose information when required by law, legal process, regulatory request, carrier investigation, payment dispute, fraud review, safety concern, policy violation, or to protect the rights, property, and security of ResearchedPep, users, service providers, or the public.
Marketing choices
Newsletter and marketing communications are optional. You may opt out of marketing messages by using unsubscribe instructions or updating account preferences. Operational, security, compliance, order, and policy notices may still be sent when necessary.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including password hashing, signed sessions, restricted storage, and limited access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and users must protect their credentials.
Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to operate the site, provide services, meet compliance and audit obligations, resolve disputes, enforce policies, prevent misuse, and satisfy legal, tax, accounting, and security requirements.
Your choices
Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, export, or restriction of certain personal information. Requests may be limited when retention is required for compliance, security, legal claims, order records, fraud prevention, or audit obligations.
California residents (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you may request to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, request deletion subject to retention exceptions, and opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. Submit requests through the Contact page; we will respond within 45 days as required by California law.
EEA / UK residents (GDPR / UK GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with similar laws, you may have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of, port, or object to processing of your personal data. Our lawful bases include performance of a contract (orders), legitimate interest (fraud prevention, security, audit), and legal obligation (tax, regulatory). International transfers
Information may be processed in the United States and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. Where required, transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
Age restriction and contact
The website is restricted to users who are at least 21 years old. We do not knowingly permit account access by individuals under 21. Privacy questions may be sent through the Contact page or to support@researchedpep.com.
